Co-active coaching is about establishing a collaborative relationship with your clients to effectively empower them to find their own answers; your task is also to encourage and support your clients as they make choices to become more in-tune with their personal values。

Nagyon érdekesnek találtam a könyvet。 Aki coachinggal foglalkozik, vagy csak érdekli ez a terület, annak ajánlott olvasmány。 Jó tippek és példák találhatók a könyvben。

A nice introduction book into coaching。 What I like about the book was the focus on intuition and Level III listening。 On one hand, it's a skill that requires a lot of practice, but for me, it nicely complemented the more tool-focused training I'm participating in。 The book calmed me down showing that to be a good coach, you need to follow the client, and asking the best possible question is not an answer and also you as a coach don't need to be right。 A nice introduction book into coaching。 What I like about the book was the focus on intuition and Level III listening。 On one hand, it's a skill that requires a lot of practice, but for me, it nicely complemented the more tool-focused training I'm participating in。 The book calmed me down showing that to be a good coach, you need to follow the client, and asking the best possible question is not an answer and also you as a coach don't need to be right。 。。。more

Een heel bruikbaar startpunt voor de basis van co-actief coachen。 Een goed holistische aanpak。 Met goede voorbeeldconversaties en vooral heel veel materiaal (toolkit) dat je kunt gebruiken in je praktijk。

Practical and insightful。 Good read for anyone starting the coaching practice。

Helpful but boring

I think most people looking to read this book want to learn how to coach someone。 This book does not provide that whatsoever。 It’s more of a philosophical inquiry as to what coaching is。 It simply doesn’t provide one with a practical framework to coach someone。 It’s a shame because a quick Google search for someone looking for a coaching book will usually involve this at the top。 To me this book is less than useless because not only does it fail to provide an easy to follow framework but it’s so I think most people looking to read this book want to learn how to coach someone。 This book does not provide that whatsoever。 It’s more of a philosophical inquiry as to what coaching is。 It simply doesn’t provide one with a practical framework to coach someone。 It’s a shame because a quick Google search for someone looking for a coaching book will usually involve this at the top。 To me this book is less than useless because not only does it fail to provide an easy to follow framework but it’s so mindnumbingly boring that it likely turns people off from coaching。 If you’re new to coaching and want to learn how to coach, please look elsewhere。 。。。more

Wow - this book provided a wonderful foundation on how a coaching relationship can be truly empowering。 I was delighted to learn about level 3 listening and that being cognizant of emotional energy is truly helpful in a coaching relationship。 This is a great place to start for someone considering the coaching pathway。

Se nota que son los principios del coaching。。。 Demasiado mascado todo para mi gusto。

Very good introduction to the concept of co-active coaching and general life coaching principal。 Wether you want to coach yourself, coach a team or become a life coach, the book provides a lot of tools and concepts to familiarise yourself with。 Better read while practicing coaching as there are a lot to learn and remember。

This is a good resource for coaches that describes the benefits of a collaborative coach/coachee relationship。 I particularly enjoyed the emphasis that this book places on the fact that our coachees are whole, capable, and resourceful。 The job of the coach is not to fix the coachee or solve all of their problems, but more to help them overcome challenges in life through active listening, asking the right questions, and providing light nudges as needed。 The book includes plenty of examples for co This is a good resource for coaches that describes the benefits of a collaborative coach/coachee relationship。 I particularly enjoyed the emphasis that this book places on the fact that our coachees are whole, capable, and resourceful。 The job of the coach is not to fix the coachee or solve all of their problems, but more to help them overcome challenges in life through active listening, asking the right questions, and providing light nudges as needed。 The book includes plenty of examples for coaches to understand the principles that it recommends。 Some of the examples became a bit long, but overall I recommend this book to anyone interested in coaching。 。。。more

The content is great。 This is a professional development book for me as a personal coach。 But it’s also got great practical tips and concepts that can help managers and others in having purposeful, growth-oriented, fulfillment-seeking, potentially transformative conversations。 The audiobook is only really compelling/worthwhile for the ability to hear the coaching examples。 It’s otherwise dull and poorly formatted。

The book I most bounced off the first time and then came back later and had it change me in profound ways。 As a people leader it’s made me kinder and more supporting。 It really challenged me to change my perspective on how people can learn and their current state of “wholeness”。 I never really considered how intricate and intentional being a coach was over someone who simply supported their team, this flipped everything I thought I was doing on its head。 I still think many of the examples are to The book I most bounced off the first time and then came back later and had it change me in profound ways。 As a people leader it’s made me kinder and more supporting。 It really challenged me to change my perspective on how people can learn and their current state of “wholeness”。 I never really considered how intricate and intentional being a coach was over someone who simply supported their team, this flipped everything I thought I was doing on its head。 I still think many of the examples are too “best case coaching scenario” so I’d like to see a follow up that’s around managing towards reality but the framework and mindset are wonderful。 。。。more

There's a lot of fluff and filler among the relevant points。 For example, when it warns that the coach might be distracted in a session, it gives five or six examples of what might distract。。。as if I couldn't understand this point without the examples? Right。 Then other points about coaching were left with simplistic or no examples, like how to unstuck a client who is tripping over a challenge。 I don't think just asking them "what other perspectives are there?" is going to yield five more metaph There's a lot of fluff and filler among the relevant points。 For example, when it warns that the coach might be distracted in a session, it gives five or six examples of what might distract。。。as if I couldn't understand this point without the examples? Listened on audiobook。 Language is quite floral with lots of metaphors and not much data。 I felt the book was too qualitative bordering on philosophy/religion

Life changing bookThis was recommended to me by my own coach, although he admitted to not having read it! Some honesty right there! Reading this book has shown me that my decision at the age of 49 to start a brand new business as a coach is the right one。 The way the book is laid out is just right at building the framework in my mind, without being too esoteric。 It also does not read like a sales pitch for the coaching credentials, which I really liked about it。 Although it does mention the ‘too Life changing bookThis was recommended to me by my own coach, although he admitted to not having read it! I have a lot of highlights and notes from the book and will be going through them shortly in a progressive summarisation way。 There was just so much value that I feel like writing up maybe an article would be a great way for me to consolidate what I’ve learned and internalise it。 。。。more

This is definitely a classic and a must read to anyone who considers coaching as a profession。 This book is also a valuable source of you want to become a better communicator and leader。

This is a very good book for a very targeted audience。Co-Active Coaching provides structure and knowledge for a caring professional (therapist) who intends to make the transition to a more active relationship with their clients。This approach is valid, imo, for a broad range of relationships, but is geared more towards life coaching, and perhaps first-line supervisory work。Not so much with overall business coaching。Good book。
